Stream of Consciousness Sunday: I could get used to this.

I found Fadra’s blog and SOC Sunday thanks to NaBloPomo, so if I get nothing else out of this month of constant writing/editing/linking/blah blah blah this is totally worth it. Most people can’t follow my train(s) of thought. The people who can? Are awesome. And clearly deranged like myself. Others might not enjoy my ADD ramblings, but I chuckle inside just a bit when trying to explain to my husband why I bring up some moment from years ago while we’re discussing if the garbage disposal is working properly. Anywaaay, I’m super excited to do this (and have an actual plan for at least one post a week). So here goes.

P.S. You should do it too. Check it out.

SOC Sunday

SOC Sundays. Eeeee!

Even though I love posting with the WordPress app on my iPad, well most of the time, I had to come into the office to make this happen for the following reasons:

  • A. Sometimes getting links and badges and such can be tricky for me, since I’m still a novice with my beloved iPad.
  • B. I can’t think with my husband insisting on watching the new episode of Ax Men. Even coming in here didn’t stop the madness. Apparently this whole episode is one calamity and catastrophe after another. DUDE! Calm down. This is why I was letting it go to DVR and flipping between Hoarders/Hitch but noooo, ya just had to watch it.
  • C. I lost that list train in the swamp. Moving on…

I tried a new recipe today. In my friggin’ crock pot! (i.e. the thing we got for our wedding and I’ve used maybe twice since). I’ll use it to post tomorrow. Even though I don’t have fab pics to go with it. Trust me, you don’t want to see it anyway… but to taste? YES!

My kid loves that new GEICO commercial… ya know, the one where Max the pig is on a zipline with pinwheels. I mean it’s funny enough as is, but add a 13-month old boy squealing and babbling back at the TV. Good stuff.

Not gonna lie, I totally downloaded the Victoria’s Secret app for my iPad just to shop the semi-annual sale. Sure I could’ve just surfed on Safari, but where’s the fun in that? I get app because I can. AND I ordered lots of loverly bras and a few cute sweaters while I watched the Steelers lose to John Fox, Tim Tebow and the Broncos. That? Made my day. Niiiiice.

5 minutes is up! Catch ya on the flip side.

    • Ha. Seriously. And they have an app… which I get for actual insurance-related purposes, but I have to wonder how much it features videos and interactive content with Maxwell. Pure. Adrenaline. Thanks for stopping by! I am loving SOC Sundays.

  1. I love all the great things you said in the beginning about my blog and this meme. That was my favorite part 😉

Your mind definitely jumps from one topic to the next. You’re not the first I’ve seen to have a brain that does that. Totally unsolicited, but sometimes, I think to really delve deep into your writing, it helps to think of something that’s really on your mind and see where you’re writing takes it.

In other cases, it’s just fun to do a total dump like this 🙂

    • Glad you liked it. I’m glad to have a set agenda for at least one day. On this last one my Bluetooth keyboard was dead so I was pecking at the iPad. One can only get so far in five minutes, especially when your mind is consumed with the method of input and how the wrong letters keep appearing on the screen. Doh!
